Chocolate chip cookie recipe
Chocolate chip cookie recipe is one of the easiest desserts to make.
You can make a batch and bring it in to your friends or colleagues at work at coffee time. Have a potluck tomorrow and you need something quick and easy? This recipe is the perfect choice.
I love soft cookies but if you want to make hard cookies, you just have to bake for twice the amount of time. Just follow my instructions and you'll be fine!

Total time: 45 min - 1 h
Ingredients (makes 20-25 cookies with diameter of 2.5" or 6.5cm):
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1 1/2 to 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Part 1 (15 to 30 min)
Preheat oven to 400°F (1). Add flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl and mix (2). In a second bowl, add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla (3). To melt the margarine, warm it in the microwave for 30 sec OR add the margarine to the second bowl and put it in the oven for just 2 min. Once the margarine is soft, it is very easy to mix it evenly with the sugars using a spoon (4). Break the eggs in the sugar mixture (5) and mix well with a spoon (6).
Part 2 (30 min)
With the contents of the second bowl, blend it in the flour mixture in the first bowl with a spoon (1). Mix in the chocolate chips with your hands (2). Use a rolling pin to flatten the the mix (3). With a cookie cutter, carve out cookies (4) and put them on an ungreased baking tray about 2 inches apart (5). Bake for 8 to 10 min if you want soft cookies or bake for 20 min if you want hard cookies (6).
Once baked, let the cookies cool for 10 min and serve in a nice bowl. The soft cookies (1st picture) are much lighter than the hard cookies (2nd picture).
